Summerville Artisan Market – Vendor Terms & Conditions
Event Details:
– Location: Nexton Elementary School, 200 Scholar Way, Summerville, SC 29483 – Date: Saturday, September 13, 2025
– Event Hours: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
– Vendor Load-In: Begins at 7:30 am (vendors must be fully set up by 8:45 am)
1. Definitions
– Vendor: The applicant(s) renting a booth at the Event. – Organizer: RYP Unlimited LLC.
– Event: Summerville Artisan Market.
2. Rental Policy
– All booth rentals are strictly non-refundable unless the Organizer cancels the event.
3. Event Operations
– Vendors may only set up on the day of the event during the designated load-in period. – Full setup must be completed no later than one hour before the event start (by 8:00 am unless otherwise stated).
– Vendors arriving late may forfeit their booth and all fees paid.
– Packing up may begin no earlier than 1:30 pm unless otherwise directed.
– No-shows forfeit booth, rental fee, and deposit.
– Only vendors with confirmed booth assignments may participate. Unconfirmed vendors arriving on-site may be asked to leave.
4. Booth Assignment & Product Guidelines
- – Booth space will be assigned by the Organizer and must be adhered to at all times.
- – Only products/services approved by the Organizer during application may be sold.
- – Permitted Products:
– New goods for resale
– Artisan products and services (fashion, food, lifestyle, handmade)
- – Prohibited/Restricted Items:
– Meat products (products with eggs/milk are allowed) – Counterfeit, used, torn, or broken items
– Dangerous implements/materials
– Tarot/palm/fortune readings, massage services– Art created with spray paint
– Religious proselytizing items
– Financial/insurance services
– Multi-level marketing products/services
– Soliciting donations
– Any item prohibited by South Carolina law - – Vendors must update the Organizer in advance regarding any changes to approved products/services.
– Vendors are responsible for maintaining a clear 10×10 space and keeping aisles free of clutter.– Vendors must bring their own tables, chairs, and canopy (no rentals provided). – Personal sound systems are not permitted; event music will be provided.
5. Terms & Termination
– The Organizer reserves the right to change the event date, time, or location if necessary.
– Terms and conditions may be amended at any time without notice.
– The Organizer may reject or terminate any application or participation at its sole discretion, with or without cause.
6. Postponement/Transfer Requests
– Requests to postpone or transfer a booking must be made at least one week prior to the event and require Organizer approval.
– Requests made less than one week before the event will not be accepted and will not be refunded.
7. Compliance with Laws
– Vendors are responsible for complying with all applicable state, local, and federal laws and regulations.
– Vendors selling food or beverages must possess all required permits and licenses for on-site sales and food safety.
8. Best Interests of the Organizer
– Vendors must act in the best interest of the Organizer and maintain professionalism at all times, refraining from any actions that could harm the Organizer’s reputation.
9. Sales Declaration
– Vendors must truthfully declare daily gross sales if requested by the Organizer.
10. Publicity & Marketing
– Vendors agree to promote the event on social media using Organizer-provided materials.
– Vendor products may be featured in Organizer’s marketing content. Vendors wishing to opt out must notify the Organizer upon confirmation.
11. Conduct & Behavior
– Vendors must conduct business professionally, avoid disruptive behavior (e.g., touting, shouting, soliciting outside booth), and respect fellow vendors.
– Threats, violence, or unsafe conduct will result in immediate removal.
12. Venue & Property Use
– Vendors may not hang or affix anything to venue property (tables, chairs, walls, floors, etc.).
– Vendors are liable for any loss, removal, or damage to venue property and may be charged for repairs or replacements.
13. Use of Space
– Vendors may not display materials or products outside their assigned booth unless approved by the Organizer.
– Booth space must be kept clean, and all waste properly disposed of in designated bins.
14. Liability & Loss
– Vendors may not leave goods or property overnight before or after event hours.
– The Organizer is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to property during the event.
– The Organizer is not responsible for vendor sales performance.
15. Electricity
– No electricity is provided. Vendors requiring power must bring their own propane/gas generator (subject to Organizer approval and local safety regulations).
16. Cleanliness & Housekeeping
– Vendors must keep their area tidy and remove all waste at the end of the event.
17. Parking & Loading
– Loading/unloading is only allowed at designated bays during setup and breakdown times. Loading/unloading at the main entrance is strictly prohibited.
18. Enforcement
– Failure to comply with these terms may result in removal from the event, forfeiture of all fees, and/or permanent ban from future events.
– The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to these terms or event details at any time.
